Mean Machine
Power Machine
Arsenal Artillery

House shots, PBA Patterns - will it work well?

Probly would work alright on the PBA shots, though you are gonna wanna have a bit more versatility.

That arsenal will work fine on a fresh house shot, but once those lanes start to transition and break down, you aren't gonna have a ball weak enough.  So get another ball or two stepping down from where you are and going weaker, or you'll regret it later.

I don't know.  Are you sure?  I'm not a big rev guy.  I don't have exact information but I throw about 16 or so miles and hour and have med-low revs.  So far, the Arsenal has been working well alone on house shots.  But just in case, how does a PPEX sound?

the PPEX would be good, and since you have low revs you might be able to get away with an equation

I have seen more than 5 PPEX (Solution, right?) here (haven't played on myself though!)

This ball is very good on any THS cause if there is not a dry line more deep there is always the outter part of the lane where it is dry enough to play the ball...

I have bowled in the pba leagues and you have to remember, a house shot has a heavy load of oil in the center and drier outsides. So when you go to pba shots or whatever, the oil load might not be the same. I was shocked with how deep i needed to go to stay with the oil, so a lighter oil ball could help when the volume is low or the pattern is short. Also, those three balls are all really early reacting balls. So something a little longer and one weaker might make a well rounded arsenal for you...

Whats the drilling, and surface prep on those three?
Do you have difficulty with dry conditions?

The shorter patterns can be difficult with very skid snap balls + lower ball speeds. Danes is right on with the weaker equipment suggestion.

I haven't drilled (bought actually) the Machines.  The Artillery is 500 abralon and drilled about 5 1/4 x 4 1/2.

I actually don't see dry conditions that much, but I suppose I could always move deeper with my weakest ball.

I keep thinking that the Mean Machine will stay bagged until REAL heavy stuff is put out or until next year's PBA Experience.  I might just want to not buy it and look for something else when the need is greater.

That would leave me with the Arsenal and Power M.  Please correct me if I am wrong:  The Power Machine is a skid/snap ball that can handle more oil than the Artillery.

My only doubt is that because of my higher speed, but lower rev rate, the Power Machine might not work.  I throw about 17 mph.  I don't want to get a skid/snap ball that doesn't have any pop at the end because I throw too fast.  Let's say for right now, my only uses for the balls would be house shots.

how do your balls react at your speed and what shot is layed out and how high is the volume of oil layed out..

What do you mean?  On a house shot?  I stand about 20, and roll over 2nd arrow.  I don't exactly know my breakpoint, nor the volume of oil, but I'd say medium; other people use Radical Infernos, Big Times, Vapor Zones...

...I mean what shape of movement are your balls showing with what layout?
Early roll with a smooth movement or a more skid/flip like reaction?
How do they roll when it gets drier...
How long does it take to get a serious problem playing a ball succesfully (here it is 12 games I can use my Tsunami and I have to move... then another ball has to do the job as the ball rolls too early and looses to much energy causing a bad carry)

Your describtion is on only half of the info I'd like to know... but I'll dare and make a statement:

mhhh medium.. Radical... Vapor Zone...Big Time (pearl?) then I guess the PPEX is not a bad addition for your arsenal for lighter volume of oil.
If the backend is strong enough the PPEX will make it's turn! Don'T be afraid.. if it does not... you still have other equipment to choose from...

well...

I found that it is often very useful to have at least one possible choice for drier lanes just for the worst case...

There are other possible choices out of the Track arsenal... but the PPEX seems to be a good ball when it comes to versatility...
...
Others that are more into Track will give better advice.
