Hi
what is the best choice for long pattern?
715Tor 916AT
thanks in advance for any info.

I would say the 715T, it's very similar to my 505T that I use for long, heavy oil patterns but that ball (715T) has a touch more backend movement. I had the 916AT and didn't get a very good reaction using it on that type of oil pattern even when I dulled it to 1000 abralon. It works much better on like a 38ft pattern because that ball was made to have a semi-angular backend.

My double thumb 715T is my oil ball. My THS is Kegel High Street which is 44', but lowish medium volume. I sold my AT since it had to be polished for this pattern to attain any backend. My 718A is a much better choice for this pattern with the 6A in reserve for slightly drier nights. The 7T doesn't get any use except when the machine is on the fritz.

Yeah, the 916AT is probably my favorite ball in my bag, but for the super heavy stuff you should go with the 715T. I use my 916AT for short and mid heavy oil...as well as light long patterns, but for the long soup the 715T is the right tread for the surface.
