Help Drilling my new rule delta 1????
« on: October 07, 2005, 06:25:32 AM »
I'm gonna buy the new delta after seeing all the videos and reading reviews it looks like an amazing ball... right now i have a absolute inferno with pin just under ring finger cg kicked a little left of center and a balance whole across from the thumb.... a Xception 5.0 with abou ring finger slighty left and a weight whole aroudn center on the side of the ball maybe slight more towards the fingers... A Arsenal agg with pin above ring finger slight left and stacked over label... an XXXcel that i got for free with pin on ring finger and cg slight left of center... so i was just wandering what u think i should do with it ... i was leaning more towards an earlier roll drilling because the aggressive the way its drilled doens't seem to roll as early as i'd like...

i'm a lefty tweener ...

the cg is right under the ring finger because he said i had a very high pap cause i come around the ball some... I bowled with it and it hits pretty hard but i was bowling was not bowling on fresh conditions and it seems a litty jumpy

So your arsenal is looking like:

Rule Delta 1
Arsenal Aggressive
Absolute Inferno
Xception 5.0
....
...
..
.

or does your AI roll earlier for you than your Arsenal Aggressive?

I would go with an earlier rolling drill with the Delta 1.  Mine is drilled pin under ring, MB in strong position ... the ball revs up really hard in the midlane and has a lot of backend to boot.  Even with a pin mid or above, the OOB surface should let the ball roll earlier.  I'd keep the pin under the ring finger though (I find it easier to tame a ball than to make it stronger), and swing the MB out a little more left (closer to your PAP) to maybe 4" from PAP.

I find pin-above drillings to be much stronger and 'jumpy' at the breakpoint.  I tend to like pin-under drillings for fresher patterns for a smoother and more consistent reaction.  Pin-above drillings work well for me on 2nd-3rd game when the lanes open up and there's less over/under.  It might be the same case with you.
