Havoc
« on: October 11, 2005, 01:24:13 PM »
I just drilled one of these up and I love the way it rolls. I have only tried it on fresh oil on synthetics for a couple of games. It's drilled with the pin 3 inches over and 2 inches above grip center. This is about a 3 inch pin for me. The MB is close to the Val. The ball is clean through the heads, has excellent midlane control, and has a nice strong arc on the backend. This ball allows me to play a little swing on fresh oil whereas my other equipment can't be swung until the lanes dry up a bit. This ball has a great, proven core, and a strong solid reactive cover. This ball rolls the way I hoped my GP2 would roll. This is a great ball for wetter mediums if drilled strong. I'll write a full review when I have a bunch of games on the ball.

louie, you can't go wrong with a Havoc. I obtained a 14# one from Rick a few months ago and after I got the surface adjusted that first week, it has been the first ball out of my bag ever since. It is drilled Pin 4" from the PAP and under RF and MB 4 1/4" from the PAP. I sanded the surface and polished it with 3M Finesse It II to a really good shine. Haven't changed the surface since and only touched it up lightly with the Finesse It one time. The ball is so versatile that I can use it on a really wide variety of conditions. One of the best balls I have ever had.

I have since decided to go back to 15# balls and after a couple months of searching, I finally found a Havoc in 15# with the specs that I wanted. However since finding that 15# Havoc a few weeks ago, My health and strength have gone down hill a bit and I may be forced to sell it NIB and return to 14# balls.
