Title: help please!
Post by: chitown on January 18, 2006, 04:06:42 PM
I put this in the misc. section but may have better luck here.  I bowled last week at an alley in a king of the hill tournament.  There was a guy there that had 2 of these clear two ball bags that were very small.  It's almost like they formed perfectly around the balls. One of the bags a a ver small area for shoes on the outside of the bag.  I have never seen a two ball bag as small as these were.  I almost thought they weren't even bowling bags(maybe just a bag he bought and used it for bowling balls.  I do remember one of the bags had a very small logo on it that I believe said ebonite.  I could be mistaking.  The bag was clear but it also had a clear orangeish color to it.  I could see both balls in each bag easily.  I'm going to see if the guy is there tomorrow for the tournament.  If he is then I will ask him where he got them.  However if he's not there do any of you guys know what i'm talking about and how long ago were these bags or totes made?

I would love to have 2 of these bags.  This would really save space and would be very light to carry.  The bag itself proabably doesn't wieght more than a pound if that.  Can someone help me?

Thus far I have found that KR Industries makes a 2 ball roller that is clear all the way around. But nothing in a tote style as of yet. I will continue my research and report back if I find anything else.

BTW, the KR bag is called the "Showoff".

Thanks guys for helping.  If the guy is at the alley tonight I will ask him when he bought that bag.  If it's an older bag or tote I will try to buy it from him.

chitown,

I have seen a couple of bags like that. I don't recall who makes them.

I do know that Vise had a few bags that were totes that had clear flaps on the top so you could see what was in each.

Ex the thing I really liked about these totes is they were really small.  The totes you see now for two balls are small but they are square at the bottom.  If I recall the ones i'm talking about were kind of form fitting on the bottom.  Maybe these were not even made for bowling balls but I thought I seen ebonite on them.  Plus two balls fit perfectly inside them.  I will find out tonight.
