O.K., heres the deal( no pun intended). Brunswicks got me hacked about the Mexico thing ( I know, it's just a personal subject for me though ) and I haven't used anything from track since the mutant I had ( and LOVED).
I have been having tremendous luck with an original inferno drilled with the 2 inch pin in the palm, just above the midline and just right of the centerline and the cg in the thumb positive quadrant at about a 45 degree angle to the grip centerline, and a good sized weighthole just above my val in the thumb positive quadrant.
I know it is the drilling, I have another inferno drilled differently and it doesn't even act like the same kind of ball. I was just trying to get a feel from some of the guys here that throw and own a lot of track stuff as to which direction I might need to go? I don't usually have a lot of luck with pins over the fingers ( except for an ebonite matrix III I had with a 6 inch pin-to-pap)
I'm not just an average hack, I used to work in the shop here and have a good grasp of drillings, mass bias', paps,etc..., so I can grasp concepts reasonably easy, except for the most radical ones. Been averaging over 200 since 1985 with a high last year of 224 with my first 800.
I'm not sure just exactly what I am going to do, but any help/suggestions from the guys " in-the-know " will be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks,
Darreyl

Darreyl,
Welcome to the team bud.
What exactly are you looking for? Replacement....additions to what you have?

Kind of strapped for cash right now, but I think I've got an inferno traded for an original exception.
I have been looking at the arsenal lineup. I think the new arsenal reactive might be along the lines of what I'm looking for. The angular sounds a bit skip/flippy and the aggressive, well, lets just say I don't need any help getting the ball around the corner, so it would be a bit much.
As soon as I get my grubby little hands on some of this stuff, I will be back to ask advice from you guys.
Thanks and good bowling

If you're looking for something like the Inferno, I'd go with a polished Slash. Someone I bowl with has an Absolute Inferno and Crunchtime. The Crunchtime (third game) rolls very similarly to the AI (first game). The OI is weaker than the AI, and the Slash is stronger than the Crunchtime...so the reaction may be somewhat similar.
The new Arsenal Reactive seems like it's going to be an awesome ball though!

Icetink,
Yea, I've got my eye on a couple of slash's on e-bay right now. If my trade goes through for the exception, and I win one of the e-bay bids, I can collect the $75 bucks a guy owes me for a warp zone and an impulse zone, then wait for the arsenal reactive to hit the stores.
Let's see, exception, arsenal reactive, slash. Is this good for a start?
