drilling for xception
« on: January 22, 2005, 06:46:16 AM »
I love my rule, so i decided to get the xception when things start to dry out,  should i drill it the same as the rule, pin like 1 1/2 to the side of finger and mb an inch from thumb?

I have a Rule and X-Ception both drilled with OOB surface with the same exact drill and they compliment themselves very nicely. When the Rule starts hanging 10s or just starts a little too early, I can switch to this ball and start strking with the extra length and backend!

Hey Nick,

I also did what Clint mentioned, my Rule and Xception are almost identical and they do compliment each very well.  If by chance you want a little more length or separation, leave the mb positioning but place the pin closer to your fingers and/or place it above the ring area.  Hope this helps...

I agree with Rick. if you want more length go with the a longer pin distance like over your ring finger and keep the MB placement about the same.

So Ex,

Going with that thought, I just punched up my Rule at 4.5 x 4 (pin above fingers), so to compliment my Rule with the Exception, I should drill it say 5 x 4 (pin above fingers)?  Therefore the Exception should go just a tab bit longer.  Just thinking this through.  I love learning this side of bowling.

bts,

That would not be bad. They should compliment eachother very well with those layouts.
