Reactive, Solutions review
« on: August 12, 2005, 06:17:40 AM »
Reactive drilled 6 by 3 1/2 pin above middle finger extra hole at 4 inches 27/32 3 inches deep.

Ball is very clean through the heads and reads the midlane extremly well. I hooks about two boards more than my Aggressive drilled the same and picks up about 5 feet earlier do to the lower rg. Both have the same surface prep of Magic shine.

Solution ex  is drilled 4 1/4 by 3 1/2 pin above ring finger with extra hole of 25/32 3" deep at four inches. Ball is very clean through the front of the lane and has a lot of backend for a meduim ball. It is drilled to corner very hard and is does the job. I threw it on wood after league and open play. I could throw it very straight up ten and it carried very well keeping the pins low. I moved in very deep and was lofting gutter caps looking at 35 at the arrows swinging out to 5 and it carried even better. I was very pleased at how it cleared the fronts and kept coming on the back.

Solution PP  is drilled 4 by 3 pin under the right edge of ring finger cg low and to the right, extra hole at 4 inches 1 1/2 inch down 27/32 3 inches deep.

It is clean through the front with a very good rev in the midlane and strong backend. It is drilled to be smoother than my ex and not backend as hard but it hooks as much because of the stronger cover. It keeps the pins low and reminds me of a longer smoother Slash. It is more readable with the pin lower and more arch but carries as well as the ex until I get past fifth arrow on the burnt. It is a little to rollie that far in swinging that far. I threw it on fresher lanes and it was cleaner but never missed the breakpoint. I could go up 5 or get into 25 on the fresh and still have plenty of recovery.

Impressions:  The Reactive is like throwing a Aggresive that reads the middles better and is smoother on the backend. Comparisons to the Absolute seem to be accurate and a friend with an absolute drilled close thought the same thing but thought the Reactive hit better.

Solutions: I think they are like crossing a Slash with a Heat. They aren't quite as rollie as the Heat but hit just as good. They are cleaner than the Slash because of the weaker core and are better for a light amount of oil. Power players will love their versatility and tweeners will love the hit and being able to stay right longer when the big balls hook early.

Awesome reviews Mitch!
Hmmm...your review is enticing me to look at the Solution to put under my Slash =)

Mitch,

My proshop guy and I last nite were taking a look over at my arsenal. After the little joke of telling me "I had every d*** Track ball on the market" he firsted asked about the Blue Heat. I told him I did not have it and he was like, "OH MY GOD! A Track ball YOU DON'T have!" we started analyzing and he said that he thought I had too much of a space in between my Triton Elite and Desert Heat. We both agreed on the Solution Power Plus EX as a step up from the Desert Heat, I was wanting to ask you what you thought about this? Thanks for the reviews Mitch and have a great week and God Bless! What about the Delta 1?

The solutions are definatly a step down from the elite or slash. They have the same core shape it is just weakend a little bit. I used the PP this weekend on the long pattern with scuff and it was very nice early and I use the Reactive after a few games when I could move left. The Reactive carries soo good on oil.

Mitch, hey bud...with that said...which one would be a nice look under my Benchmark Slash? The PP or the Reactive? If I do decide on the solution, I'm thinking of laying mine out about the same as the Slash for the same type of look when the lanes start to break down. Thanks man!

To me the PP looks the closest to the Slash. The ex is a little longer and sharper.
