So far, I'm very impressed with the 505T. Picked mine up on Saturday from the pro shop. Box specs on the ball were 15 lb 4 oz, 3-1/2" pin, 2-1/4 oz top weight, and the pin, CG, and MB were nearly perfectly in line. I used a 50* x 3-3/4" x 25* layout, with a weight hole at the P2.5 location.
I was able to throw the ball on a freshly oiled house shot immediately after the ball was drilled. The ball has an excellent midlane read and a very continuous backend. I was very impressed with the reaction of the 505T, as was my pro shop operator. His comment was, the ball reaction reminded him of the Ebonite Mission, only $60 cheaper. While waiting for the 505T to be drilled, I bowled a game with my 505C. Layout on the 505C is 5" x 3", pin over ring, weight hole on PAP, surface at 2000 Abralon. I was 6 boards left with my feet with the 505T with the same breakpoint. I would imagine that with the surface taken down, the 505T would be able to handle a heavy oil condition with no problem. I had my Rogue Cell and the 505T when I practiced on a fresh Chameleon shot on Monday. I was playing 17 at the arrows, out to 7 at the breakpoint, and the 505T rolled great. The Rogue Cell is drilled 45* x 5" x 30" with a weighthole next to the thumb. I played in the same area with the Rogue Cell as I did the 505T, and the 505T read the midlane more and the Rogue Cell had more on the backend. So far, I'm extremely impressed with the 505T. At the price point, I don't think you can find a better ball.
