I'm wondering how many balls that you guys take for league bowling. I currently have a 3-ball bag, but I'm looking to upgrade as it's starting to get old. I'm trying to decide on a new 3-ball or a 4-ball bag (sounds heavy). For those of you who use 4-ball or more rollers, do you use that "4th ball" which might be a dryer condition ball?
-
2 Balls Why? got more than 2? you not normal!~
--------------------
Honestly I got a lot of balls. No NOT BOWLING BALLS!
-
I take a 3-ball bag; not a 2-ball!
There are actually quite a few people I see that take only 1 ball to league.
-
For league, 3. Spare ball, a boomer, and something very controlled and not big in the back end.

I'm one of those guys who buys bowling balls all the time. Typically I take five with me to league. 4 reactive, and a spare ball. Typically I have a heavy oil ball, and a dry lane ball that stay in the bag unless the oil machine had a snafu (which is a fairly regular event in town). Then I have two medium balls that are drilled different, or one may be pearl, while the other is solid.
The four ball bag is a bit of a pain to get in and out of my trunk, but not too bad. Having a hatch back makes life simpler. I have a single ball bag that velcro straps to the handle of the 4 ball roller.
I know its overkill ...
-
I don't like hauling that big four-ball bag with me to and from league each week, so I use a three-ball bag and a Brunswick Joey.

3 balls, Heavy oil, Medium oil, Spareball.
**Alternative**
3 balls, medium oil, med/light oil, Spareball (I use this when i plan on playing straight up the whole day)

Depends on what kind of mood I'm in. Generally, I take 3, 2 reactive plus a spare ball. If feel like experimenting I'll bring 1-2 more

3 balls on usual. Absolute Inferno, Intense Inferno, and Spare Ball. I alternate the Absolute and the Intense or I will when I get more balls. For tournaments I will take all of my balls and leave a few in the car.

In my home house I bowl once a week at, 4 balls is more than enough...although I am drilling 6 GP2s for this year....some of the other leagues and tourneys I bowl in, especially one house....we bowl 2nd shift, the first 6 lanes are behind a ladies 5 person team, the other 10 lanes follow a mens 5 person league, the shot can go from no backend(carrydown-plastic from the women) to burnt heads and who knows what else beind the men...I will carry 6-8 balls.

If I'm nailing every week it ends up two and a spare or 3 and a spare.

at one house (sometimes flooded and sometimes not) i bowl, its different just about every week so i have to take(and usually use 2+spare ball):
1 spare
1 control dryer lane ball(older equipment works nice)
1 solid resin for med-heavy stuff
1 particle for heavier and carrydown (track animal!)
other (consistently dryer) house:
1 spare
1 strong pearl resin
1 solid resin
since this is a track forum ball names werent used

The first week of league, I'll be taking a lot since I'll be bowling in a new house and have no idea what the oil pattern will be like, but after that I'll be bringing probably 3, which includes a spare ball. Depending on how the lanes are, I'll either have a 1-2 punch of two different reactions, or a fresh shot ball and a "step-down" ball.

I take with me a 3 ball bag and a 2 ball tote to league every week. Usually 1 particle ball, 3 various resin balls and 1 spare ball. What I will bring with me to a regular league will be different than a sport league though. For instance this week on my Monday league I brought my Absolute Inferno, Slash, Havoc, VP2 and a Target Zone for spares- but for my sport league I bring my Animal, Rule, Slash, Havoc and a spare ball.

I have a couple of lockers at the center that I bowl at, so it's 6 balls...however, on average, I use 3 a night, including a plastic spare ball. If I use more than that, then I'm probably not having a good night...

I have got a ton of bowling balls, but the only ones that come with me to league are the following:
Rule, X-Ception, Triton Elite, 5.0 and my Pepsi Spare Ball...the rest are in my B-bag which usually most of the time stays out in the car...if I wanna practice with anything different, I usually pull out the B-Bag...

Two to leagues, 4 to tourneys.

I take 4 normally. Usually use only 2. But you never know. Sometimes the oil machine breaks down. Sometimes you get a bunch of plastic throwing school kids bowling in front of you....and they never re-oil!! Sometimes the old retired cats have been pot bowlin' on a pair, all afternoon....and they didn't re-oil!
Typically:
Heavy oil ball-solid or particle pearl
Medium oil ball-solid particle
Medium oil ball-strong pearl
Dryish conditions-weak solid or pearl
-
2. Track Animal and Brunswick Power Groove Teal/Purple Sanded (use this for my spares, or for dry-medium conditions). Animal is always the first out of my bag, don't bring Power Groove until I have finished practicing with my Animal trying to find a line. Can usually find a line with the Animal.

Well...my everyday aresenal just grew. I just ordered a Desert Heat as last week in my summer league, I was informed my pair had not been oiled for 2-3 weeks as well....they didn't oil. I was using my polished GP2 pin under ring, cg in palm, mass bias left of thumb and was playing 3rd arrown on the left side and keeping it as tight as possible and lofting the ball to the arrows to skip the heads and delay the roll...and further out and it immediately turned over in the desert...and further in and it was through the nose...somehow pulled a 266 the last game for 712..but I was so tired at the end of the night I said no more...I need a Desert.
Everyday arsenal
6 GP2s

Delta (soon to come)
