polishing ball ?

ok, i have a rule delta 1.  if i wanted to polish it to
have it go longer with strong backend, what would be the
best way to do it?  have pro shop do it?  use track magic shine?
just curious as to what you guys are doin.

Unless you have a spinner yourself or have access to one. I would suggest having a shop do it. Use Magic Shine and you won't be sorry.

A pro shop will put more polish on the ball although you can put it on with your hand. Black Magic. I love that stuff.

black magic is the best polish out on the market as of right now. the magic shine doesn't do too much.

My experience with magic shine is this, it seems to make the ball shinny as anything but, it is very tacky. It seems like the ball dosent glide through the heads like other polishes. Just seems tackier to me. With black magic, the ball slides through the front as good as anything but, bites hard in the dry.

I could personally care less how shinny or how good a ball looks after polishing (this is where Magic Shine is the best!!!!!). I care about performance that works for me so, I like Black Magic.

Slop,
Magic Shine is a non abrasive polish so if you use it over a lower grit base you won't gain much skid. If you use it over a higher grit base it will give the ball a sharper angle of the dry. I think of it as more of a backend enhancer with minimal length difference. Where most other polishes increase both length and backend.

thanks for the help guys.  im looking for performance out
of it.  dont care how shiny it is, just want it to skid
through the heads and jump in the back.

hmm...that explains why it has not worked for me. Now, what kind of grit should I try to use before Magic Shine? Thanks for the tip BTW.

I've experienced this exact same thing just using the regular Black Magic Polish.

I've had my best luck with 3M Finesse-It II and Ebonite Factory Polish.
Some people like the Brunswick Factory Polish, but I didn't care for it much. I have also had success with Ultimate Quick-Cut & Polish and Columbia 2000 Grit Polish, but the Finesse-It and Ebonite Polish are my favorite.

Just remember, what works for one person doesn't always work for another.

As sixcranker said....go light with the Magic Shine. If you want a high gloss I would consider changing the surface to like 600 then applying the Magic Shine.

Buck,

Clean n Sheen then polish really shines the ball....ALOT. Basically it makes the Magic Shine take to the ball quicker.
