I have two Delta 1's. I have one with the pin up and the other with the pin down. They are both polished with magic shine. I want to bring the pin down Delta back to it's 900 grit cover or close to it. What is the best way to do this?
Clean and sheen brings a ball to 1000 grit, correct?

I would try a grey scotchbrite....Clean n Sheen, if you lean on it, will cause a shine as well on the spinner...

Are you saying apply the clean and sheen with a grey SB pad?

When I bought my first Delta 1 I polished it so I could use it on more conditions. Then I bought my second one which had a longer pin out distance so I was able to have it drilled with the pin above the ring finger. Well this ball also has the mb a little further from my pap so it has more backend and a little more length. Well I polished this one with magic shine and want the other one for heavy oil. That is why I want to get it back close to the OOB cover.

Clean & Sheen leaves a "compound" polish on it. It's more grabby than a Magic Shine polish but it's not the dull/matte box finish. (kind of looks half way between a matte finish and a true polish) Since the grey pad is about 800 grit, try a new one with a little Clean and Dull to remove the polish; then use a used grey pad with water and light pressure to get close to the 900 grit dull finish that the box finish is supposed to be.
There may be an Abralon pad that is specifically that 900 grit, but I don't really know. There is no sandpaper that I know of that's 900 grit. Wonder what Track used?

Where do I find a grey SB pad? I have only seen green and blue and burgandy pads at the store.
