Punched up a Heat Blast
« on: January 27, 2006, 03:23:38 PM »
NO.....this is not my mini review....I need to get some games on the ball first.

My observations after roughly 7-9 shots with the ball are this:

I drilled it similiar to my Blue Heat......I raised the pin an extra 1/4-1/2 inch above my midline.

The ball clears the heads really nice. I have a problem on the pattern at my home house with the Blue Heat because even with a coat of Magic Shine it wants to roll early......so I wanted something similiar reacting...just longer. I think I have that.

In the few shots that I threw with it I was able to strike from nearly any line I played...deep inside or straight up the boards. NATURALLY as with all Track equipment I love the way it hit. It kept the pins low (another positive in my opinion), and continued strong through the pocket.

I will post a mini as soon as I get 6-7 games on the ball

What I like about the combo of the cover and core is that this is the closest that Track has come, in my mind's eye, to the old Heat 2 solid of 3-4 years ago. I thought that was a potent and versatile ball on the order of today's Arsenal Reactive, that so many people here really like.

charlest,

With the OOB surface it should be useful to most any bowler/style. I have to admit that I  am curious what a surface change would do (maybe 1200-1000), but I like the look it has on the lane right now.

I like what I see so much that even with so few shots with it I am taking it to the city tournament this weekend.

The Blast will not pick up a roll as quick due to the factory finish, but it is a benchmark type of ball for sure! Very smooth, no jerk, very predictable!

Not too shabby. 729 doubles......671 singles OOB with the ball.

I see it as a benchmark type of ball, but I will post more feedback when I get a chance to use it more.

Thanks Carl nothing like making me feel more like crap. I think I am going to stop bowling right now anyway. I still may want to take you up on that deal and I will still want to go do the thing clint is trying to get together. Other then that I will stop bowling for a while. I will be doing this because shooting 1610 for 9 games means you suck. (You as in me)

So have fun bowlign carl.

So have fun.

Thanks but to have a off day would mean that I would shoot better later and I DIDNT. I dont see myself bowling in a week. At least not in competitive leagues. I will be droping most leagues so I can work on some stuff so I can get back to shooting like the guy who entered this year with a 214 scratch college average.
