That ball looked a lot weaker than the numbers suggested. It's probably fine if you can get it for a good price because it's about $175 in performance wrapped in a $250 price tag.

For me this ball had the tendency to wiggle a little going down the lane when it was polished.  When surfaced was added to it any surface from 500 -1000, helped the ball get into that heavy early roll and it was continuous through the pins.  If your able to get a newer ball for around the same price I would suggest that.  If you are getting a great deal for the ball take it and see how you like it with the box surface and go from there.

That is a great price for that ball, make sure you have the chance to play around with the surface.  The Lx, Hx, Mx series takes surface well and the shape changes depending on the amount of surface.  The only thing is having to do it after however many games but that shouldn't be a problem if you have or buy some abralon pads doing it by hand gets the job done as well.

The Track HX-16 was a mild ball in my hands. It performed slightly better when I made
surface adjustments but for the most part, this was a ball that saw action primarily when the lanes were burned.
