Suggestion on Ball for Pin Axis Drilling

Greetings all!

Need to drill up a Pin Axis ball for myself and would like suggestions on what Track Ball to put it on.  I need something for the sport conditions I will see and a bit of a control.

My 2 cents is going with the Solution Power Plus....Dull surface and not too aggressive a ball..

what do you think?

The Solution PP is more aggresssive than was advertised. The one i have drilled aggressive out hooks almost anything i own.

The ball to use is the Heat Blast. I have drilled several balls pin axis and the Blast has been the best yet!!

Depends on your oil handling needs, I've got about 5 or 6 of these on different surfaces.  Now I'll have to try a Heat Blast like this cause Ex said so...

Think I am going to go with the Aussie and go with the Heat Blast....

Pin Axis.....to play up the twig on Short Sport Patterns and on very toasty lanes..

That is what I am looking for in this case anywayz....

Hey Jim,

Since we understand that a weight block rotates or migrates towards our pap, what would happen if we placed it there to begin with?  It basically doesn't move anymore which in turn creates a faster revving look with minimal movement.  It revs faster because the core is no longer placed in a position that wobbles or creates "imbalance". The core wants to lay down sideways with gravity so putting it on it's preferred spin axis (PSA) allows it to just spin without the imbalance factor or tumbling which is typically how we create "imbalance".

This may vary for some as I personally have a fair amount ot tilt which produces pretty good skid so I can still make this layout move some.  I even drill past pap which causes the ball to flare back up and changes the my track some.  Hope this helps explain some...or pm me and I'll show you my excerpt from my on-going and neverending book...
