Several years back, I sold a couple balls a while back for my local pro on eBay. His thoughts were that since the balls "retailed" for $268 in his shop, that they should easily bring $125-$150 on eBay. My thoughts were that since they were used, he's be luck to get $50 for them. When all was said and done, I sold 9 high-end balls and the "average" selling price for each one was $55.
The moral of this story is that everyone has a "perceived" value. However, eBay runs by determination of the market value. If you can get the two to overlap, you are in business.. if not, no sale.
With that being said, I'm surprised the Strike Machine has been bid up to $153. Its a pretty good looking ball, and may be rare, but its still a 2nd. In general, there isn't too much on eBay that breaks the $150 barrier.
Good luck selling these. Who knows, maybe you will find the special person!
