Hi Kincaid,
I have my Threat drilled at 5x3 pin over bridge and it does exactly what you saw. It goes nice and long in lite oil and turns over well in the backend. The cover is actually a pretty light load particle so that's why the ball doesn't grab too early. Instead of a harder resin to play the med-dry conditions, I like my Threat better so I don't see the spotty oil on the lanes as much. I feel this would be a good choice for your second shift if they get a little on the drier side. If you turn the ball a fair amount, I'd also recommend a little weaker layout. Hope this helps...
ps. What didn't you like about your Crunch? How is it drilled and what condition are you trying to use it on?
