What would you want and why?
For me, it would be the Track NRG. I wish I could throw it based on what I know now. I remember, well at least where I bowled, the NRG was revered by all who had it, and feared by those who didn't have it.

Carl- "Yes and it left a thumb hole imprint on the back of his head. HAHAHA."
Scoot- "How didnt he die from it.... o wait it was 14lbs wasn't it?"
Carl- "Yes it was ricks ball."
Scoot- "Well that is how he lived. See it is good to have a 14lb ball sometimes."

The majority of the Track balls were great. I think that some with the right layouts were PHENOMINAL. I Had a Phenom and for whatever reason the layout I had was too agressive for what I needed. I sold the ball and the guy who bought it could not get it to do anything as well.
I had a Critical Mass drilled 12:00 pin up leverage What an awesome ball
Sensor II, same ball, just a pearl cover. Had the pin in the leverage position next to the ring finger-CG kicked way out towards PAP Had a Flare done like that too Great ball
I had a Contender drilled Leverage Hit that one with Clean and Dull and a Green scotch brite WOW What a monster! Flat out desroyed the pins
The Freak Out was the best Bring that back I still have one still and its a freight train. I would buy a few more of those.

Synergy Pearl. I had one for six years. Polished, you could throw it on the lighter stuff, sanded, you could throw it in the soup. Great ball, if I had it to do all over again, I would've bought a few more!!

I'm greedy, there are two that I want back. First of all, and this would be my second choice, I absolutly loved the original Synergy. That ball is the one that set the bar for coeffecient of restitution (C.O.R.) for the rest of the world. In other words, pins literally flew off that ball faster than any other ball there was. Made match play in my first PBA event using the Synergy.
My first choice would be the Heat2 Pearl. Its coverstock was an early particle pearl, although we didn't call it particle at the time, the flecks in the cover were indeed some of the first particles in a coverstock. Had an awesome set with that ball. 248, 300, 298.....846 for three, then 268 in game four for an 1114. That was changing pairs in match play. 248 was with the last 8, then 12, 11...an 8-10 split and another front-8 in the 268. If it weren't for my nerves and that 8-10 I could have had a small 40-bagger with it. As it is I have a 31-bagger, I'll take it. Wish I could get my hands on a 15#, mine (yep, still have it) is a 16# and I haven't thrown 16s in 3 years.

I agree with rckyurwld, the Freak Out is a freight train. I still use mine and it nearly got me my last 2 attempts at 300 ( 298 & 277) a couple of weeks ago when the fall season ended. But ended the season with a 796 series, got a nice pin for that being the highest of the season, and a 298 ring. The Freak Out is an awesome ball!

The ball I'd like to see Track bring back is and oldie! I'd like to see the Nuke brought back! That ball for me read the lanes nicely, it didn't overreact like some of the newer stuff!

Oh, without a doubt the Contender!!! For whatever reason that ball and my game match up unbelievably well. I've thrown my original since the day they rolled out of the factory up until just recently. It was always my money ball. I got lucky and picked one up, NIB, for $25 two years ago off ebay (although it had like a 0 pin
) when I decided to try going from 14# to 15#. I finally had it drilled about 8 months ago and shot nothing less than 720 for the next 8 weeks, including back to back 279s in an association tourney! Everyone kept asking what I was throwing because it was absolutely destroying the rack. I had to laugh and say that it wouldn't help them anyway because it's a relic that you can't get anymore. I want to leave in my will that I want to be buried with that thing

For me, it'd be the overseas Mutant Mania. Sheer Havoc coverstock on the Mutant core. What a sweet ball that was. Shot my first and highest 700 with that ball. Loved it. Oh if I could get my hands on another one.

1. Original Heat
2. Purple Critical Mass
3. Synergy ETS
I still know quite a few people who keep the Purple CM in their bag and use it as a dry lane ball. Just a great ball.
The original Heat could score like no other ball when on it's shot.

Stomp Pearl!
Great THS ball. I just resurfaced mine this weekend on my new spinner. Can't wait to try it out at league this week.

I've actually been thinking of bringing that out of retirement lately. I'm altering the surfaces of my main arsenal to better matchup on the PBA condtions, so that just would really leave my Champ, Contender, and Phenom...

Track had some VERY cutting edge balls over the years...
Code Red
NRG
Green Synergy Pearl
...I have a feeling that these balls were symply ahead of the lane oil revolution though, but some of the earliest high flare monsters.
Many people love the Elite and that weight block is/was still being used.
The Assassin was an early favorite in the "flip" ball genre.
Freak..great particle solid, but died quickly...
Brings me to my favorite two Track balls of all time...
Heat and Threat...the Heats that cured with the white phasing would be #1 for me with the Threat an eyelash behind.
So, as someone stated earlier, give me a Heat with a stronger cover, not this solid/pearl combo stuff, but reactive solid with an oil sucker cover.
