Inertia or Machine?
« on: December 04, 2006, 09:01:22 AM »
Well, my wife is going to get me a ball for X-mas and I'm trying to decide between the Machine and the inertia.  Can I get a side by side comparison on theese two?  Length, backend, versatility, etc.?  Thanks in advance

Thanks for the advise, I didn't know the machine was soo much like the widow.  So the inertia is deffinately stronger than the Widow I take it.

This would work out because I rerely use the Robo Rule, Sometimes only for the first few frames until it hooks too early.

Have you look into Mean Machine? You can start with that ball for med-heavy oil. It got length, great backend power, and most important of all very forgivin.

If you want something for med oil go for the Power Machine.

Pin positions affect flare, and flare affects friction, and then friction affects ball reaction.

Hey Trackoholic,

I'd also agree that the Inertia has more hooking potential and can handle oil a little better but I'd also suggest the Power Machine which would offer you more separation from your BW.  I see you have the Equation and as my Tag Team partner has stated, the Power Machine is "the Equation on steroids"...

Thanks for all the feedback, I ordered a Power Machine.  I really like my Equation and I understand the Power Machine will be similar and handle more oil, which will fit nicely in my bag.  The ony problem is that I'll have to wait till Christmas!!!

Trackoholic,

I should be getting my Inertia back from the proshop today with a new layout and surface adjustment to 1000 grit Abralon.  I plan on shooting some video this weekend.  If you have any other questions about the Inertia, send me a PM.
