Title: Inertia Vs. Power Machine

How close are these in reaction?  Everything being the same.  I'm a mature male RH'er medium speed 17 at arrows, 325 revs, PAP 4 7/8 over and 0.  I have an Inertia laid out pin next to and slightly above ring.  MB 1/2" down and 1 1/2" right of thumb.  

Inertia has nice roll and even reaction not skid/flip.  Looking for a ball more like my The One from last year more skid/flip which the PM looks like in vids.  Is the Power Machine a lot like the Angular One?  Ball motion?  What's the coverstock  Vector SFâ„¢?  Solid or pearl?  Track needs to put more info. on their covers.....or I need to search more.  Any ideas?

My feelings are the Inertia is more of an arcing type ball that one would play more down and in and the Power Machine is more of a backend type ball. I have used both on a synthetic surface with med heavy oil and the PM is much more ball.

I am more of a stroker, but can hook the ball if needed. I played my Inertia standing 21 or so and looked at 12 out to 8. The PM I was standing 32 and looking at 12 out to around 5 and the ball came back with plenty of movement.

Hey Scott!

These two (Power Machine & Inertia) vary by differences in coverstock and me having thrown both I feel the Power Machine would definitely give you more pop on the backend. Nevertheless, the Inertia has a particle cover which means it can handle a decent amount of oil. Vector SF if I'm not mistaken is a reactive cover. Hope this helps some buddy! Both balls handle carry down with ease but Power Machine is definetly stronger and can handle more oil. Inertia does have a smoother arc, while Power Machine tends to roll over and snap in the backend.

Question remains....is the Power Machine a solid, pearl or hybrid reactive cover?

The PM is an all pearl reactive.

Hey scott,

Freak761 is correct but please keep in mind there are many variations of pearls.  There are many bowlers who hear the term "pearl" and immediately assume that the ball is very long and weak.  This is definitely not the case with the Power Machine.  It is much stronger off the dry compared to the Inertia.  Hope this helps some....
