Is it just me or, do Tracks hit like a tank!!

I my experience all tracks I have seen like like a tank!!! Great carry and hitting power! It seems like if it hits high, low, flush, (dosent matter as long as it hits the 1 and the 3) in the pocket, you might as well count on a big fat X on the scoreboard!!! I have noticed this and have decided to buy mostly all track from here on out!!!

Is there any track that dosent hit like a run away truck????

Well, I'd hope the arsenals hit like a tank, otherwise that picture on them can be construed as false advertising!

I have a GP2 and I can say that it actually sounds like bricks hitting the pins when that thang hits. It is brutal!!! I also have an Absolute Inferno and it hits and carrys OK, nothing like the hit of the GP2 though!!! I think you will like it!

From my experiences...I think they hit harder, but I do agree that it is probably that they just match up better with my game.

Typically, I'd still go with the fact of the bowler knowing his/her game and creating the proportionate amounts of skid, hook and roll.  However, I'd have to say that after watching 5 to 6 of my customers with different speeds, revs, rotation and tilt all carry pretty well with the same ball....then there's something about the ball, you can't deny that.

At my level, it's all about cover and layout.  Hypothetically speaking, game 1 270 (great combo of cover and layout) game 2 (same ball) 190..(bad choice of cover and layout)...lanes change too quickly these days and matching up is so important.  

This is why our staffers here share our experience and knowledge with you, to try and always get you that "great" combo...btw, Track DOES hit hard.

I agree as the pins just seem to disappear into the pit when I throw the ball....it looks like they are DESTROYED!

I guess it depends on style and matchup.
I have a Havoc that hits HARD!
I have a brand new Xception 5.0 that hits like a sack of mashed potatoes.

I've got a GP2 and I have to say that it hits like a tank on steroids.  No marshmellow shots when it hits the target.  Totally destroys the pocket.

All track balls I have owned hit very hard.  The hardest hitting ball I have ever owned or seen is the animal.

I here a few people say that all balls hit hard and that's not true.  You can definitly tell when a ball hits harder than the rest.

I have not thrown a Track Ball that doesn't hit well.

Read through some of BTM's and BJI's ballreviews.....they mention the Track HIT several times. That tells me that alot of people see it

Ever think that maybe the reason for this is that the bowler's style, the drilling, the ball, and the lane condition match up in a way that allows it to hit harder? A good example of this is a particle ball on dry lanes; it won't appear to be hitting hard, because the conditions don't allow it to be in the correct stage of core/roll progression as it contacts the pins. Likewise, a plastic or other weak ball on a flood won't hit hard, because it never picks up the heavy roll and continuation through the pin deck.

Your talking about a ball being played on the wrong condition.  I'm talking about the ball being played on the right condition.  Some balls just hit better than others.  I can throw two balls that are mad for the same condition and see a difference in the pin action.  I threw a pure hammer on dry lanes and it hit ok nothing special.  I have thrown my desert heat on dry lanes and it hits like a missle.  In fact, for me the desert heat is one of the hardest hitting balls I own.  That's amazing for a true dry lane ball.

Well, I've drilled up 2 Track balls recently (Phenom and Mutant Joker)...and both hit like a 5 year-old girl scout! The Phenom was still playable, but the Mutant Joker couldn't win a carry contest against a Slinky! I figure that I just don't match up with the Morpheus core or something...but both these balls were the epitome of a hollow pumpkin when hitting the pocket.

Hey Big Willy,

Noticed you stated you're a back-up bowler (pretty good one too), where was your mass bias placed on these balls.  I drilled my Joker for a friend and it looked and hit pretty well, surprised to hear this.
