First off Im a tweener with med revs. I like to stand at like 25 and throw it out to 5 at breakpoint. So with that said Im thinking about buying the new Heat to compliment by Arsenal Reactive. Right now I use the Storm Eraser Blaze to fill the void for medium-dry lanes but I have had it for like 4 years or so and it is starting to die so Im gonna replace it. Ideally I would just buy another Blaze but I cant find one nowhere so I liked to get another track ball instead since I have had great success in the past with them. So do you think it would be a good idea to get the heat? If not the heat is there another ball in the Track lineup you would recommend? Thanks

It really depends. Are you looking for a big step down from the AR or are you looking for something just a few boards below it? What surface finish do you currently have on the AR?

Right now my Reactive is out of box finish. Im pretty much lookin for something with a similar reaction as it for medium-dry lanes.

So you are looking for something that offers a similiar overall reaction...just weaker than the AR?

My Heat gives me a similar look to my Arsenal Reactive, but not exact... Granted, mine are drilled a bit different (see my profile for specs).
I LOVE these two balls as an arsenal compliment, but EX hit it on the money... How far apart do you want it to be from the AR? My heat is a few steps below my AR for sure... and my Heat is drilled STRONG.
I love both these balls, so feel confident in getting them both as long as they fit what you are looking for. Consider the Arsenal Angular for a smaller step below the AR. Good luck!!

I find the Freak-A-Zoid to be a good step between the AR and the Heat.

Dysturbed,
If you're looking to play way inside, the Solution Powerplus EX has a little more length and more backend than the Heat, when drilled the same. They cover similar amounts of oil, but the Soln PPEx is the better ball for a deep inside line. It's more like the Arsenal Reactive in that aspect. The Heat is an earlier, more even reacting ball. Both are pearl resins.

The Ex is a good choice for inside, it really bites and can carry the 10 when other balls stop and leave a flat 10. As for a step down from the Arsenal Reactive, the Angular is a step down, where as the Ex or Heat is probably 2 steps down in my book. The Angular will clear the heads much better than the Reactive, and have more turn at the break for you.

After talking to my driller and you guys I decided on the EX. I thought about the angular but it was particle and I havent had much success with any of the new particle balls. Hopefully I made the right choice. Thanks for all the input I appreciate it. I wish I could of went more indepth about the way I bowl so it would be easier on you guys but I never measured my revs before and I have no clue what my pap and other stuff like that is. Thanks again.

I ABSOLOUTELY agree with this... In fact, I think the Freak-A-Zoid is a better compliment to the AR than the Angular... FAZ is PERFECT between the AR and Heat.
I haven't thrown the PP-EX, but it makes sense as a good compliment. You should REALLY think about a FAZ, though... It has quickly become my favorite ball.

Dysturbed,
I agree with the Solution PP EX......however I felt it important to mention that the Arsenal Angular although it is particle does not react at all like a particle ball on the lanes. I have drilled quite a few, and have one.....and it is all reactive. The secret is the Peak Particles in the shell......they are something SWEET.
