Last night was my first league night of the fall season. Highly competitive men's league. Lots of bowlers who average 215+ in this league. The shot has been tightened up since the summer. More oil in the heads and longer down lane.
So, I proceeded to shoot 734 on the night. My 3rd 700 in 2 months and 2nd in 4 weeks. My overall night looked like this, 223,244,267.
I am very excited because I am able to hang up scores like the better bowlers do. I seem to be doing this on a fairly regular basis.
The coaching is paying off and I really think I am ready to get on my tournament shoes and see how I fair against the rest of the bowlers in my area.
BTW, I used my Mutant Mania, again!!

What is the mutant mania like? My mutant joker didn't really seem to want to hook...AT ALL! Seriously, I drilled up a NIB Mutant Joker, and a NIB OPTYX Snuffy, and the Joker only hooked 2 boards more...NOT GOOD!

PS...sorry, don't mean to hijack the thread, but you seem to be having phenomenal results with your overseas Mutant...maybe it's the drilling?

Just my $0.02; so take it for what the Foreign Exchange values it at!

BigWillyStyle,
For information purposes, the Mutant Mania has the Mutant core wrapped in the Sheer Havoc cover. Combine that with the drilling I put on the ball(see profile) and I get a very smooth rolling arcing reaction out of this ball. It doesn't over react when it hits the dry. This is my benchmark ball. It is very controllable and hits like a tank. Keeps pins low and flushes them back. I got a bargain on this one when I bought it. $60 shipped to my door. I recommend it to anyone who wants a nice control piece, especially on medium conditions.

Yes Rock, great shooting. An 800 and a 300 game will be in your sights soon I'm sure. Hopefully I'll be seeing you compete in more tournaments as well...

Matt, I bowl my first tournament of the season in 2 weeks on the 25th. I will be at Westgate Lanes for the People's Tournament. I plan on bowling that tourney for the entire season, plus they are starting a new local tourney called the Bowler's Invitational Tournament. That one starts in October. I will be bowling that one as well. In addition, the NEBA Non Champions tournament in December is another one that I am looking forward to as well.
