Kinetic drilling help... Calling Carl and Rick..
« on: August 15, 2007, 01:37:29 PM »
I received my Kinetic today and looked at the drilling instructions and almost fainted.. What is Track doing? They give you 1 layout and thats it.. They also say more layouts are on the website but I can't find any drilling instructions on the website anywhere..

My question is this.. Can you drill this ball stacked leverage or label leverage and be OK? Is the most important thing the location of the MB for the stronger ball reaction? Thats what they seem to be saying in the enclosed drilling instructions.. The cg is also in a weird place for there "recommended" drill..

Come on Carl and Rick... Help a brotha out!! LOL..

the MB rating on the kinetic is only something like .06, so the MB isnt really gonna play that much of a part in reaction, so you should be able to thrown any conventional layout on the ball

JK,

Lay the Kinetic out as you would any other asymmetrical ball. The drilling sheet tries to keep the layouts simple.

I have not drilled one stacked leverage, but based on the info you provided in the PM then I think that you would be alright. It is still going to get length and backend, just not quite as flippy if you were to go with a 4 x 4 or 4.5 x 4 etc...

The MB rating is very low at .006.

First off, I am still waiting for mine and I can't get to the pro shop section on the Track site.

Regardless of the asymmetrical shape, it is still very low MB dif, only 0.006, meaning after drilled the MB should be close to the thumb hole, meaning just treat it as a symmetrical ball.
