Title: KINETIC DRILLING
Post by: ginro on August 19, 2007, 11:15:20 AM
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i order two kinetics.. both with same specs 2.5-3.5 inches pin ... and both with 2-3 oz of topweight..
i was thinking on drilling one with the pin over the bridge with the cg out 1 inch from the center grip and the mass biass at the right of the thumb and the other one with te pin over the ring finger and the cg 1/2 inch out of center grip with the mb in the thumb... waht kind of reaction this balls are going to give me ?? are they going to react similar.. ??
should i drill one with the pin under the ring finger or the bridge ?? to have a different reaction ... ?? every suggestion will be very apreciated..thank you .....
i want both balls for a very strong backend ..

On the first drilling depending on your release the both in therory should go a good distance down the lane and have a strong motion towards the pins if the lanes are drier on the backends it will show you a skid flip reation.  On the second drilling if you place the pin about 1 1/2 inches off your val and about 4 - 4 1/4 inches for your PAP with the mass bias located near the 85-90 degree mark (near thumb, will produce length with a good snap once in the dry. This layout works well with people who have med to high ball speed and revs. Hope this helps.

Roger's descriptions of the layouts are right on.

I do not know if you would want to put one pin above bridge and the other above the ring finger because you will not get alot of seperation between them.
