Kinetic Energy ***VIDEO DONE****
« on: March 18, 2008, 06:11:15 AM »
Shot 300 with mine last night, only the second night I have used it since I dulled it to 1000 ab..  First night with it started out front 9 then flat ten..

I will take some videos of it tonight probably on the USBC Open and Winding Road (Kegel) patterns and probably the house pattern as well..  hope to have it done by the end of the week

Congrats on the game.  Looking forward to the video.  There's only two I've seen out so far.

Ok, FINALLY got this thing done..  Had an issue with one of the videos and couldn't convert it to upload..

ANYWAY, I thew a bunch of shots on our House pattern (fresh), USBC Open (after breaking it down and throwing two games with a Shift and Total NV), and Kegel's Navigation Series Winding Road (fresh)...

There really is no rhyme or reason behind the shots, I was just moving around throwing different lines..  Move way in, move way out, mess around in the middle..

Ball is laid out with 5" pin to PAP, 45 degree by 50 degree dual angle, 1000 grit abralon.

*EDIT*, Before anyone mentions it, I know the transitions are annoying as well..

Nice vid.  No matter which way it's laid out, the KE reads the midlane so damn well.  Glad I have one.

It seems like you send a messenger flying across on like 8/10 decent shots, how do you do it?

I don't do it on purpose and I don't do it every time I bowl..  I prefer to send 10 straight back into the pit

But I suppose it's just the angle that the ball comes into the pins..

Before I put 1000 grit on the ball, I was leaving a LOT of 9 pins with it..

I like your game alot when you were going down 5ish... pretty sick shot.  Obviously conditions don't warrant it all of the time but when they do you look like that's close to your comfort zone.

Yeah, I have had some success in tournaments playing out there, my best year at Nationals I was playing outside of 5..  shot 1898..  had two bad (160's) games

Was HQ at another tournament on a longer cheetah pattern playing out there..  some good bowlers were there like Ken Jesse, Jeff Fehr, Mark Siders..  just couldn't carry in match play..

I also like to use almost every shot I throw when I do my videos, I don't leave them out unless I really really miss my target, so most of those shots are in sequence too..

Two different balls, three different patterns, throwing multiple angles to see what each ball is capable of and not all strikes.  Probably the best video I remember seeing on this site.  Very nice.

I tried the original (2 different drills with numerous surfaces) & never did match up. Carl drilled an Energy for me a few weeks ago & it is great. It is much more forgiving with the same monster backend & carry even at OOB.
