Kinetic Oil Handling Capability
« on: August 13, 2007, 11:58:42 PM »
What does the Kinetic compare to in the past Track lineup as far as oil handling, length, & hook potential say to the Machine series or ??? Would this ball be in addition to or in place of?????

The Kinetic will be cleaner through the front and more angular on the backend then the Power Machine. If you need it to read the mids better drill it strong and put 1000-2000 abralon on it depending on ball speed and rev rate.

The Kinetic is longer and much stronger at the breakpoint than the Power Machine. I know that sounds like a stretch, but the ability the Kinetic has to recover is pretty unbelieveable.

I have drilled a few Kinetics for customers matching layouts on some of the bigger named balls just released and the Kinetic has run circles around them as far as recover and the ability to open up the lane.

As far as surface adjustments: taking it down to 2000 abralon will get it rolling sooner and calm the backend down a bit. Taken to 1000 abralon the Kinetic can hook in oil with the best of them.

call me skeptical, but I need to see it to beleive it. the rg and diff numbers suggest early arc reaction.

But even when the Kinetic is sanded (let's say to 1000) what will the backend performance look like?  Will it still look like a Black Widow; smooth, but strong at the breakpoint?  Or will it just arc at that low a grit?

six,

I think everyone should be skeptical about new equipment. I do want to add this though....I do not believe in all of the time I have been on ballreviews.com that myself or Rick have pointed anyone in the wrong direction.

Spinner,

With the lower grit you get the same early roll like a BW...but the Kinetic still turns the corner harder.

The kinetic is great..i love this ball..im gonna buy another one and dull it up.. it recovers from any angle and hits like a semi no matter how deep you get with it

I drilled a kinetic for a customer today that also had a raid.We laid out both balls the same.Pin was 3 1/2 and mb was 4 3/4 with the pin  11/2 from val.The kinetic was longer than the raid and had more backend. This ball looks really good.I couldn't believe how angular it was on the back.

Now this right here is saying a lot! Awesome to hear. Especially when the Raid shares the same coverstock as the Angular One!
