Track 505A
« on: September 26, 2009, 12:59:23 PM »
I just drilled one of my 505A's and will post a full review later this week as I get some games on it.
I drilled it with a 3 1/2" Pin Down MB at 35 Degrees.
Pics will be posted as well and I will post the link to both sites.

I eagerly await your review - I would like to possibly replace an Equation which sits between an Uprising & a KPearl. THX

OK here is my review of the ball mentioned at the top of the post.

I used it for the first time on our league shot which is 44' long on older wood.

The ball although was probably not the right ball for the beginning of the night but I made adjustments to make it work.
I started the night playing 15 to 10 and the ball was easy through the heads and made a nice hard move down the lane but was still easy to control at the Breakpoint. Which made me happy. I have had problems controlling the 715A's on the backends or not being able to get them to read the lane properly.
The balls carry was excellent and as the night progressed following the pattern as it broke down was not a problem. Even missing in on the great puddle we have the ball still recovered down the lane to hit the pocket.
I think with this 505A and the the 505C will make an incredible 2 ball combo for most bowlers that may have control issues.

In terms of length, would you say that it's about the same as the 505C?

its a touch longer than my closest 505C but definitely more angular.I can't put real numbers to the extra length yet as i have only thrown it 4 games and not done a 505C to 505A comparison. thats next!

I'm curious about this too. For me the 505C and 715A are very similar with the 715 being a little more angular, so I'm interested to see where this will fit.

WEll I have had a hard time matching up with my 715A's and I am not having any issues with the 505A. It may just be I havent hit the right layout/surface on  715A's to fit my game but I Love the 930T and all the 505's! So I am still tweaing the 715A's to get something I like the reaction of.
