Kinetics at USBC Championships
« on: February 27, 2008, 03:47:35 AM »
It was a good weekend for my Kinetics. I used both of them in the team event.  Started out with the Energy playing up five.  Shot 192.  Then second game the lanes moved but I didnt and shot 158.  Last game switched to the Kinetic and played about 15 to 12 and shot 238.  For a 588.  Then doubles and singles I just stuck with the Energy all day.  Started playing up 8 outside of 5 about 3-2.  Shot 214.  I was moving about 1-2 boards a frame at the beginning. Second game I was playing about 8 and shot 247 and the last game I was playing about 12-8 and shot 205 for 666 and 1199 in doubles.  For singles I stayed at about 12-8 and had a horrible start.  I spared all of the first 7 frames then finally caught a double, then in the 10th got it in a little for the greek church and threw the spare hard into the gutter (awesome) for a 172. But I bounced back and shot 253 and 223 to finish out the set for a 648.  That put me at 1902.  Any  questions about the pattern feel free to shoot me a message.

Thank you Jim.  I was upset the second game of singles.  I started with the front 7 and then I took some hand out of the 8th one and left a very soft 2 pin. Man, sure would have been nice to shoot a 3 out there.

This makes me perk up a little. I just bought a Kenetic yesterday, and practiced with it today. It covers about 5 more boards than my Power Machine, and the carry was pretty good. Last year in Reno, I used my  Machine and played pretty tight for s/d, and shot about 650 each. I would like to open up the lane a little more, hopefully the Kenetic will do the trick.

How is your Kinetics drilled? I just drilled my second Kinetic for the USBC also and will be bowling Mar 12-13. Did you bowl the RotoGrip Challenge or BJI?
Nice shooting. Glad to see you overcame a few bad games. lmk...9
