Layout a Rising for me
« on: November 11, 2007, 02:00:38 PM »
Hey guys/gals, I have a Rising sitting around that it just itching to be drilled up.

Currently I have the suggested layout(my oil ball), and I have a pin above the bridge layout which has quickly become one of my favorite balls(300 with it Saturday).

I am going to leave this up for a couple of days and see what most of you think. The idea behind this is for me to try a layout on the ball that you are most curious about being on a Rising.

Please be specific in your suggestion....meaning pin to PAP, mb to PAP etc....or a particular degree layout.

Thanks,
Carl

Flip the MB on a Rising, and flip an MB on another asymmetrical ball...and then film video, so we can see the 360 degree technology in action!

Just a thought...trick layouts...

On edit: (the layout would be 5 x 6, with the pin 1 inch to the VAL, with the MB flipped around, if that's possible)

I am considering doing the flip with the MB to show you, HOWEVER......who is going to supply the other ball for me to ruin since this technology is only available through The Rising?

I may have to have Scoot dig through some of his old stuff, plug on and do the same on a Rising.

Flip the mb 180 and see if the ball still hooks hard like a bombs up ebonite ball, like the black silver matrix.

Just show a comparison to the other rising's that you own, why compare to another brand that does not claim that it works.

Yes. The initial ball that we punched out when Rick and I went to Hoptown had that layout on it. It is identical in reaction to the new one that I drilled with the suggested layout.

Hey carl,
I know you have this ball laying around and dont use it. How about we plug up that Black Widow you have laying around and flip it. These guys want to see the ball have the MB flipped so why not.

Hey carl, how about u put the pin 4 inches above the fingers, and the mb in the strgonest position u can do that way. Just to see if that would really get a lot of length.

Shelley,

I am sorry, but this post is meant to be constructive for what bowler's want to see. This is not tied in with Track, this is something that I want to do to help bowlers that may be curious about how a particular layout will work on the Rising.

Thank you for adding a very productive opinion to the thread I will take it into consideration.

My favorite layout 4.5 x 4.5 pin up 3.75, if needed x-hole on axis, 1.125 diameter and just deep enough to get it to .75 positive.

Re EV,

So that I know, when you say 4.5x 4.5 you mean pin and MB correct? That is how I would read it, but some people refer to the CG with the second number.
Thanks,
