Let the guessing begin
« on: August 29, 2004, 04:39:08 PM »
I know.....we just got the Rule, Freakazoid and the Hexplosion, but what do you guys foresee Track coming out with next?

I guess you can even add in what you would like to see.

I know, we are roughly 2 months or so away from the next releases, based on Track's recent history (Phenom August, Unleashed October etc...).

I am still longing for a Morpheous in a Pearl Reactive. Something to truely rival balls like Storm's X Factor or Triple X Factor, Ebonite's Killer Instinct Pearl, or even Brunswick's Inferno and Intense Inferno.

This is what I would like to see. How about you guys/gals?

I'm happy with my Phenom, and I'm really happy with my Animal.  I just need a Rule and I'll be super duper happy!  I personally see no need for new balls because Track's variety of balls can be used to combat pretty much every condition out there.  A pearlized Rule would be pretty cool though

I think a particle pearl would be great if it has the 2.0 core in it, something to get good length and cut through 2nd carrydown and lighter head oil. Right now i think track lacks this hole in there lineup and just got an animal 2 nights ago and used it in the pro/am in the henderson regional and beat my pros scratch both games, we did not bowl 3 games because the 6 lanes would not boot up from computer problems which was ok with me because Ebonite gave each sponsor me a free ball for the trouble of sitting around for an extra hour. I think a v2 sweet or showtime sanded sounds good.

Guys, the Rule is solid. Track puts an additive in to make the appearance of pearl....(same with the Animal), but this additive does not alter the characteristics of the coverstocks like pearlization does.

it's awfully hard to get good ball reaction with a mellower cover matched up to a core that retains tilt so easily...

kotm,

Could you elaborate more please?

The great one

I'm not sold on a pearl rule...mine's at 400 and still goes very very long before the biggest flip i've ever seen out of a dull ball.

you will have a cue stick shaped reaction on most of todays surfaces

You haven't seen the cuesticks in my center...

KOTM, seriously though, wouldn't you think though on dry boards this type of ball would still respond?

KOTM,

I gotcha now.  But wouldn't that sort of tilt retention and low friction cover be beneficial on drier conditions/late blocks/bad surfaces?  It might not be enough demand to warrant production of that type of ball, but I could see a use for it.  Most of the TNBA tournaments I bowl they tend to be in older centers with wood surfaces that aren't very good. They also sometimes do not reoil between shifts so you can imagine what you end up with at 1PM when they've already had two shifts of 5 man teams starting at 8AM

I'm hoping to see a pearlized version of the Unleashed and a Med.-Heavy Particle loaded version of the Rule.

AUS Lefty,
From what I keep reading you don't need anything new. You are doing just fine with the current line of equipment. Congrats on the recent success. Keep up the fine representation of Track.

KOTM,

Couldn't there be a change in density of the core and even an all new asymmetrical core that they could use to release a ball like that?

I know the morpheous is strong, but I cannot recall the spin time exactly on a ball such as the X Factor. Is there that much of a difference that they couldn't use a pearl reactive shell with a core that has been used in a morpheous ball?

Thanks for the info....
