Title: liquid sandpapers??

are there any liquids u can buy to change ball surfaces? Are there any products particular coming from track? Thanks

The Track ones that I know of are
clean and sheen=1200 grit
clean and smooth=1500 grit
clean and dull(gel)=800 grit

I've used Track's Clean 'N Smooth and it works very well.  It gives the ball a slight sheen.  It gives it slightly less surface than wet sanding with 1500 (maybe equivalent to 2000 grit because of the slight polishing agents).  

I'm a little confused about Clean 'N Sheen.  It's listed as mild abrasive and said to restore balls to factory dull finish but it actually polishes the ball.  It doesn't feel abrasive at all, especially compared to the Clean 'N Smooth.  I was told it's the factory finish for the Triple Threat (compound finish) and it's listed as factory for the Animal.  I use it as my polish for all of the dull balls.  If I need more length, then I'll use Magic Shine, Clean N' Polish or Delayed Reaction.  But hitting out of the box balls like the Unleashed, Havoc and Crunch with Clean 'N Sheen will produced a nice polish. It keeps the underlying agressiveness of the ball but still gets it down the lane some.  

I'm having trouble at this one house where they are severely wet/dry. I plan on trying Clean 'N Smooth vs Clean 'N Sheen to smooth out the reaction (no pun intended ).

Cooksey is partially correct about the Track products.  According to their published product specs, they are:

Clean N Smooth:  1500 grit smooth finish
Clean N Sheen:   1000 grit sheen finish
Clean N Dull:    strictly an aggressive gell cleaner, no grit involved.

Clean n Sheen is meant to remove sanding marks from 320 grit and up and then polish the ball to 1000 grit.

Clean and Dull is not a polish and has no grit in it. It is ONLY a deep cleaner, as far as I know, and one of the best and safest ones made.

Clean and Smooth will finish the ball to 1500 grit and leave it dull/smooth. One should probably start with around 800 or 1000 grit before applying this as it is very fine. If you started at 400 or even 600 grit, it may take a lot of the liquid and a long time.

do they work the same as a sanding the ball with sandpaper and a spinner?

The Clean 'N Smooth will work the same but it won't be finished to the same grit.  It seems to finish the ball about equivalent to 2000 grit sandpaper because of the slight polishing agents.  It works well at smoothing out balls that are too flippy but not having them hook too early.
