Author Topic: Can someone compare/contrast the Arsenal Artillery and Heat Blast? (Read 785 times)

I've got both now, both 14 lbs and drilled fairly similarly. What is the difference between the two balls besides color and ball finish? Which is stronger? Which is better vs. carrydown? Which is smoother in reaction?

Hey Chuck,

The Arsenal Artillery is by far stronger than the Heat Blast. I don't have the Artillery anymore but I can tell you that when I did, I couldn't use it on carrydown that well. I switched to the Heat Blast and played a straighter line and found better success when carrydown came into play. As far as smoother, the Heat Blast is going to give you a smoother reaction naturally. Everybody that I can think of that has the Blast has said it is very smooth and doesn't overjump boards. Just saw the two thrown by a local staffer.

The arsenal artillery this day pushed too far and then flipped hard but too late. The heat blast started earlier and handled the carrydown with it's smoother more even but strong move. Stronger coverstock that starts earlier!

Chuck,

The Artiller reads the lane a tad sooner (around 2ft or so) and has more backend than the Blast. In my opinion the Blast is probably the best benchmark ball that Track currently has in its lineup. If you get lined up well with it.....you MIGHT be able to use it on the lower end of mediums.
