Ok, I just ordered the Power Machine from ASB Joe!
« on: March 15, 2007, 08:44:45 AM »
I hope I have the same success I have had with my mean.  I intend to layout out pretty much the same way, pin up, 45 degree layout.  I can't wait!

Mr. Lebowski, this is Bill Salnicker with the Southern Cal Bowling League, and I just got a, an informal report, that a member of your team, uh, Walter Sobchak, drew a firearm during league play. If this is true of course, it contravenes a number of the league's by-laws, and article 27 of the league...

It works great as a step down ball from the Mean Machine. You'll like it. I drilled mine the same as my Mean Machine..pin just below and right of ring finger and it's working well for me thus far.

I tried my two local shops, but they couldn't get it.  I also wasn't going to go through bowling.com or buddies, since ASB Joe's price is much better, and I know what I'll get!

Hey isn't Track's stuff supposed to be rollier?  Maybe that's why you are liking it so much.

I heard an interview with Michael Fagan yesterday and he was saying that Track's stuff is rollier and Patrick Allen wanted them to react like an Ebonite.

Rollier sounds good to me.

I have both Ebonite's and Track's bowling equipment and I really don't see any difference in the way they react on the lane. I have for Ebonite: a TNV, Angular One, Infinite One, The One, Crossfire. And for Track I have a full arsenal of: Robo Rule, Mean Machine, Power Machine, Machine, Equation, Solution Power Plus Ex, Desert Heat, and flaming T spare ball (just for the fun of it...I use a Columbia Blue dot most of the time.) As I said, I don't see where one brand is "rollier" than the other. They are all good bowling balls and work well. The Ebonite's I haven't used as much as I have my trusty Track's. They are more for the future..next season. As far as movement is concerned....they are pretty comparable across the board.

I never used a Track one so that why I was wondering about it.  I was wondering if that was actually true.

It all comes down to three factors...a) how you deliver the bowling ball. We are all different and most of us do not have excellent mechanics. b) Semantics. What exactly is meant by terms we toss around. They tend to mean different things to different people. c) Lane conditions. What type of lanes are being bowled upon? How much "oil". What type of oil. What pattern. The temperature and humidity of the house when bowling comes into play as well. If it's hot, then the oil will be more fluid and move around more and faster. If it is humid, then the oil will stay on the lane, somewhere. If it's colder, then the oil is more viscous and stays longer with less carrydown. If it's dry, then the oil will evaporate to a degree as well.

As the British once said of the United States. Two nations forever divided by a common language.

Thanks for the consideration... I had happened to pick up a small stock
of the PMs and passed along the good price.
