Kudos to Track Amateur staff member RDS

Wow! Really impressed with Rob Schatz (BR Member RDS) Track Amateur staff member. I was lucky enough to meet him at Rose Bowl, here in Portland, Oregon for a practice session.  RDS had a full arsenal of track equipment - Mean Machine, Machine, Equation, Inertia, Arsenal Artillery, Delta Rule, and Track Spare ball. He was gracious enough to freely let me roll any of the balls he had brought with him.  Lucky for me, his span was very close to mine and only had to pack the thumb with a magic carpet insert to make up for the difference in thumb size. And really strange, he had the same PAP (high tracker). (how many times does this happen? unreal).

First off, I had never thrown a Track Ball, primarily using vendors Storm, Roto Grip, and Brunswick.  What a surprise that Track had in store for me.  These ball's hit hard.  Started with a ball of interest to me, the Equation.  Unbeliveable ball for the money, then further up the food chain to the Machine. Wow the machine glided down the lanes, hit superbly. That was day 1. Totally impressed.

I ran into Rob again the next day for another practice session, threw the Mean Machine, Interia, and Arsenal Artillery.  The Mean Machine and Interia impressed so much.  The Mean Machine, their flagship ball, glides down alley with perfection, hooking a bunch, but wierdly controlled, never did I feel a nervous flip ... always just seemed to be "forgiving", it did need head oil (RDS assured me on this point, been there done that); which we happened to have on this day. The Mean Machine is in a class all it's own.  I ended up buying the Mean Machine, on the spot. Also, have ordered the Equation. I wish everyone would have a chance to test drive these balls, they are really that outstanding of product, no bs.

Kudos again to Rob, a great guy and true gentleman, Track is lucky to have him on their amateur staff, he is totally sold on the product and extremely knowledgeable about the Track product line, and the various reactions that the balls exhibit.

I was already hanging around as a passive Legion member, now I am making a commitment to really get on the Fasttrack. I'm with ya, Legion fasttrackers.

On the Technical side, I jotted down the layouts of the balls that interested me.
Mean Machine 2 inch pin out. 4 X 5 X 5.5MB (pin to right side of ring finger)
Equation 3.5 inch pin out. 4.5 X 4.5 (pin to right side of ring finger)
Inertia 2.5 inch pin out. 5 X 3.5 X 5MB (pin under ring finger)

RDS is a great guy and knows his stuff...

Plus, what you just said PROVES what I have been saying for a few years now...

When everyone kids me or says WHY do you need so many balls, its not really for me...its more to either show customers or let them use them IF they can...as you did.

Right now, I have all of these balls driled IDENTICAL to each other. With identical drills, it shows how one ball reacts versus another, and since the drills are the same, it takes on variable out and can let people see what this ball will do versus that ball without worring about a different drill making a difference:

Freak
Phenom
Phenom Unleashed
Animal
GP2
Robo Rule
Machine
Mean Machine
Inertia
Artillery
Equation
Blast
Desert

We now have another customer and someone else who likes Track stuff....thus the point!

Welcome aboard!

NOW...I'm really ticked at our local Track staffer.

First of all...she's righty!  Her hand is much smaller than mine!
And her pap...even if she bowled on the "correct" side is much lower than mine!

I can't throw her stuff!  I mean she is nice, very competant, runs a great pro shop...but I can't use her stuff.

Can she be replaced?
