Machine - OOB vs 1000grit dull
« on: December 20, 2007, 07:12:23 PM »
What difference!

OOB the ball was skidding for me like crazy on our broader oilier THS ... which imho still is med and walled... but there is some Out Of Bounds, too.

When I drilled the Machine (some might have read my previous topic) the ball was too long and not strong enough for my taste.

I dulled it and it didn't work out as I wanted... I redid it with a duller finish and now it seems the ball has sprung to life!

On tuesday I took the ball to the lanes and got a lane I supposed was covered with our normal THS and the ball moved 5 boards less! What the... I thought...
I mean the ball moved.. no doubt! But it was not as strong as I hoped it would be.

Yesterday I played it in house league and the ball was marvelous.

I like the Machine and it is my one and only ball right now! (I carry my H2O with my just in case the Machine really starts tu jump and lanes are dry)

Normaly I have to switch to my H2O after the 2nd game (4vs4 people on that pattern they use here means carrydown and breaking down of the lanes fast!)
But not with the Machine... all I had to do was move around 5-6 boards the whole evening! i

After having been so disappointed with the Machine as it seemed to skid too much now with the duller finish and some realization (what the ball is really good for) I am pleased with the ball.
