Action Max vs Mean Machine
« on: August 31, 2006, 10:13:40 AM »
Hey all, I currently have an Action Max.  This ball reads super early on the lane and gives good back end with a lot of hit.  What are the differences between it and the Mean Machine?  I really like Track as the Equation has really been my go to ball as of late.  If the Mean Machine is as great as the Equation, I might just have to sell my Max and get a MM.  Could you guys justify a trade off or are these balls too similar to even notice?

Hmmm, let's see if i can help with this... Here's some info on the Mean, from my experiences..

Mean Machine characteristics:
- VERY STRONG BACKEND
- Absorbs oil VERY FAST
- Hits very hard

That's just the small talk, here's some real info..

My Mean hit like a truck. It was very continuous through the deck, and stopped at nothing. Hooked in everything. My Mean would get down the lane, further down the lane than you say about your MaX, but it would come roaring back. WARNING: DON'T USE THIS BALL ON ANYTHING BUT HEAVY OIL!! That's serious, too. Like i said before, the oil absorbing rate is amazing! My line change in 5 frames. No exaggeration either.

That's all i got for now, if ya need me to expaling deeper, than ask

Noy,

I have only seen the Action Max thrown a couple of times.......so it is difficult for me to say.

The Mean Machine is strong....but the cover tweeks very well. WIth the little exposure I have had to the Max this is how I would compare them:

The Mean gets a little further down the lane and has more backend. I also feel that the Mean carries better on off hits.
