Title: Machine vs. Paradigm
Post by: nospareball on March 15, 2006, 03:21:48 AM
It might be too early to compare these two balls, but if anyone has thrown both, what are your impressions of each?  I'm looking for a High performance ball that will be versatile.  For the money spent on one ball I want to be able to use it on most conditions.

nospareball,

I have not thrown the paradigm being a Track Staff member and all....but what I can add is this:
The Machine is an awesome ball. Being able to use it most of the time is going to be dependant upon the conditions you are bowling on. The Machine offers up a strong, consistant reaction....incredible power at the pins and extraordinary move on the backends.

Goodluck,
-Carl

Hi,
Are the coverstocks surface grit the same on your Machine
and Paradigm? My Paradigm is highly polished at the factory finish, and
my Machine is somewhat of a compound finish from the factory, somewhere between dull and polished.
My Machine is earlier and smoother on the backend than the Paradigm. The backend movement is not as abrupt or sudden as the Paradigm but a real strong but continuous backend movement. They are both drilled up the same with the pin in the midline under the fingers and MB out to the right with a weight hole. Zero thumb, 1/2 side and Zero top. For myself, the Machine is much better on oilier lanes than the Paradigm. Both balls carry excellent in their elements but my Machine is more versatile for me.
