I have been silent on this type of thread for some time, but I feel the need to chime in.
Let me start of by saying that PA was not the only left hander that didn't perform in the first half of the season. I find it kind of ironic that the first show after the break there were 2 lefties (considering all of the complaining lefties were doing so far this season).
PA found a shot that matched his game, did the ball make a difference? Maybe. Couch was using Ebonite and he didn't win or even make the championship round. Maybe he should try switching to Track? OR was it just that PA finally performed well? Too many questions to answer.
I do know this much, PA killed regionals throughout the entire summer using the Equation. Did the Equation change? I think it is being manufactured the same.
To comment briefly on the equipment. I am going to say something that here that many people are probably afraid or atleast very hesitant to say: The Equation is very similiar in overall reaction to the "one", maybe even the angular one. Ofcourse the Equation is symmetrical and the one is asymmetrical, but they both clear the heads and midlane with ease and have a strong move off of the dry. The only difference I can think of right now is that I have not heard of a bowler complaining that the Equation has "died".
I am done commenting on this subject. I like PA and I wish him luck. I just happen to disagree with him basically saying one company makes great bowling balls and every other company out there doesn't. That is how I took it, not sure about you folks.
