Excaliber's Cleaning Tips

I want to say thanks to Carl (Excaliber) for his cleaning tips for using Clean n Dull with scotchbrite pads   .    Basically, you just clean the ball surface by hand , by applying Clean n Dull (or Clean n Tacky) with scotchbrite pads, using the appropriate scotchbrite depending on what finish you are trying to maintain.  Since I've started doing this, I've noticed a very nice improvement in reaction and consistency for both my Phenom Unleashed and my Depth Charge.  You definitely know your stuff Carl.  Thanks for sharing.

I also took the same advice by Carl as you were given on my Robo Rule and it brought it back to life as well...mad props to Carl for this technique! God Bless you and have a great week!

Hmm... odd that what Carl recommends is actually a suggestion on the back of the Clean and Dull bottle.  Go figure.  hehe

True....and NOT true at the same time:

The label on Clean n Dull says spinner....at no point have I suggested using a ball spinner. I don't use a spinner to clean my own stuff.

They also do not say to apply very little pressure. Applying pressure takes the ball to a lower grit. NOT applying much pressure kind of brushes the dirt/oil out of the pours of the ball and does not change the surface of the ball. Using a white scotchbrite on a polished ball leaves the ball polished but still deeply cleans it.

LOL, well the devil is in the details.  I do pretty much the same thing you recommend and no longer use a spinner since I no longer have regular access to one.
