MB Mark On Track Balls
« on: February 19, 2006, 08:13:11 AM »
On Track balls that have a MB, the MB area shows an outline of the core on that particular ball. My question is where within this out line is the actual MB? When measuring from the PAP to the MB, this distance can vary as much as 1/2 to 3/4 inch depending where you measure from within the outlined core. Do you know what I mean here? For example, I had a Havoc drilled yesterday and it was supposed to be 4 x 4 1/4 with Pin under RF. It came out 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 to 4 1/4 x 4 3/4+ depending where you measure to with the outline.

Hey Brick,

I use the center of the logo typically.  By doing that, a 1/4 inch either direction won't affect reaction tremendously.

Not to worry about your Havoc though, that ball was only .004 I think.  It's below the .008 measurement that manufacturers say have a strong influence.

Thanks Rick. The 14# ball I got from you was 4 x 4 1/4 (Pin under RF). Using the middle of MB outline, the new 15# ball would be 4 1/4 (Pin under RF which I wanted for a bit more length) x 4 1/2 so this drilling should be OK.

Hey Brick,

You're fine bud, no worries. Reaction for you should be pretty close to mine.  Good to see you strong enough to move back up into 15...I've been contemplating 13..(yeah I know, EX will jump on this..maybe even PNJ)...fire away boys, I'm ready for ya...

Brickguy,

If you look in the core shaped MB's on Track equipment you will generally see a small circle...that is the area to measure to.

As for Rick using lighter equipment....he probably borrowed on of his wife's and noticed the comfort of the lighter stuff.

Oh my gosh...poor Rick. You need to hope he doesn't find out about those fingergrips...

Carl, my GP2 had that circle, but this Havoc didn't. Don't know if my 5.0 did or not as I gave it to my son and no longer have it.
