Mean Machine Dead??
« on: January 10, 2008, 09:00:27 AM »
I have a mean machine drilled pin under the bridge. For the last several weeks I have noticed it barely hooks on THS. After league Tuesday night, I pulled it out because the lanes were really dry in the heads and on the outside. I played straight down 12 and threw 9 in a row, ended up shooting a 257. The ball carried well as always, but barely hooked. Has anyone else had a mean machine die.

I am thinking about hot water bathing the ball, but may just use it as my dry lane ball.

My Mean Machine was lane damaged just after I bought it, after the resurface I could never match my game to it, recently sold it and bought something else. Love my Kinetic though.

What honey? No that's not another new ball, I've had that one for months.

Just bought a used Kinetic and Temper, having the fingers plugged and redrilled for grips.

I have had the mean machine for about 9 months and adjusted the surface from 500 dull up to 4000 polished. For me it has been versatile and the cover responds well to surface changes.
