While Dale's post might rub some people the wrong way, it is his opinion that cores should not be named. EVERY company names them so if he choses to take exception to Track's names, so be it.
Personally, I did not find much offense to the post and chose to stay out of it. I think the core names help bowlers understand what is inside the ball instead of trying memorize shapes and all the core numbers. They see "Megatron" or "Shuttle" or anything else and can immediately know what is inside.

It started off as a tongue in cheek repsonse to someone stating that "Core Names" and Track were ruining the game. But as we all have seen it degrade to an attack on my opinion and someones ability to type or spell.

Guess what,that ball isn't any better. It's a black Ebonite Turbo. Urethane with a BULB core and has the features of-

That's not a "mans ball", it is technology and still requires little skill to strike with. Go average 200+ with rubber or plastic and you will get much respect. I know a guy, left handed, that throws one Ebonite urethane ball and averages 230 and shoots a lot of high scores. He is a great bowler. But wouldn't do that with rubber or plastic.
Plus does this guy have a video showing his bowling skill???
Aw that was to funny when he held up the Ebonite Turbo. Yes, ball cores had names in the early 90's, but none of them were megatron.
