merger

Is the rumor of a merger true, or is it just a rumor, or has it happened?
Hammer, ebonite & track.

Wow, I have not even heard the rumor.  From working in an Ebonite/Hammer pro shop, I certainly haven't heard anything about it being true.

But I really have no idea.

Maybe, but I could swear someone told me that last night during league. But, you know, at my age it could have just been a dream!!

This really makes no sense.  Track/AMF/Columbia are 1 company now.

As I understand, AMF is a separate company.  The lane equipment company that makes  lanes and such is an independent company, not affiliated with Columbia.  Columbia licenses the "AMF" name for making bowling balls and they do indeed manufacture AMF balls, but that's as close to ownership as they get.

Much more than that. AMF sold full responsibility, accross the board, for Columbia to manufacture, market, design and everything else, for AMF bowling balls. Columbia called the new "enterprise" AMF300. Not sure how they divided up profits.
