I got some of these really cheap I just wanted to know how good is this ball and can you compare it to a Ultimate Inferno. I read some of the reviews on this site but just wanted to know other opinion on this ball.

Awesome ball, VERY versatile, got one drilled with MB in a strong position and this thing is a beast! Had another with MB in VAL, shined to 2000 and it was awesome when the lanes started to transition, very readable. As for comparing it to an Ultimate, I can't really say, however the obvious comparison is that the UI is a reactive whereas the PU is a particle, other than that I think the PU might be a bit more angular than the UI and the PU is PROBABLY more versatile, though I can't be quoted on that one as I've seen polished and dull UIs working very well

Nextlevel......The Unleashed is a far better ball overall.

I am always afraid when I say something bad about the Ultimate Inferno someone is going to jump on me because I really had bad luck with that ball. The Unleashed is more angular, handles oil better, and is far more versatile. One condition that you can use both on are lanes with fresh backends. The Unleashed will work well on most conditions except the extreme wets and extreme dries.

Hey NLPS,

I definitely agree on the more angular reaction of this ball. I think it was Fang RF(reduced friction?), that helped it get down the lane very well and store quite a bit of energy for the backend. The UI I see roll sooner with an arcing backend in comparison. I never did drill an Unleashed (for myself or customers) to roll early because I wanted to use the ball for what it's original design was meant for, skid/flip (for particle). Hope this helps...

I had drill this today for my cousin, his vitals are
PAP 4 1/2 over 1/4 up
speed 19mph
Tilt 10 degrees
Rotation 5 degrees
Rev rate 325

layout: 4 1/2 PAD X 4 1/2 MBD with pin 3" above the midline. we layed this out almost identical to his Ultimate Inferno and we ran them against each other on a fresh shot. I took the surface of Phenom U too 800 to equal the UI, Well all I can say is the Phenom U has the FLU because this ball is sick. this ball for some reason just had a better overall motion down the lane and it had quicker transition at the break while the UI if missed left it just ringed 10 all day. I never seen a particle ball corner like this before, I made my custom thumb today for Phenom U I will drilling. I will lay mine out with a 5 1/2PAD X 3 1/2 MBD with pin 2" above the midline,
