Mini Review of 715C
« on: March 19, 2010, 03:11:23 PM »
On Monday, I ordered the 715C and got a chance to try it out in both of my leagues; had it driled with pin above the ring finger and MB about 2 inches right of the thumbhole. The 505C was a really good addition to my arsenal so I wanted to try and get a benchmark ball to handle more oil. First league must have had carrydown from the women's league the previous night because no one could get their balls to turn on the backend.  The 715C was very smooth and seemed to have a gradual arc going to the pocket. Really liked the way it looked playing straight up the 12 board but had to put it away about the 5th frame of the second game once it started to pick up too strong on the midlane. Tonight in my other league, it was about the same, longer length of oil than normal but the backend were much better. Once again it was smoooth but a much stronger and continuous move in the back. Carry is very good but still had to put it away midway in the second game.

Good ball so far but I didn't like how the OOB surface gave my ball an over/under reaction from time to time, most of the time having a hard time to turn at the breakpoint. I may play with the surface on Tuesday after some more practice with it and try it either dull at 2000 or 1000 with light polish; also will add a weight hole.
