The Phoenix .... A bad ball????

I saw a few posts where people were following the belief that the Phoenix is a bad ball.  

Let's see some reviews from the guys that DO have them. I have one and as soon as I figure out my layout and drill it, you will see my review.

I posted many times over that I really like my Phoenix. It is smooth reacting and very readable. HOWEVER....it probably doesn't perform to what Ebonite is looking to get out of the Track Brand.......THAT in no way means it is a bad ball.

Is it maybe that Ebonite doesn't believe it fits into their philosophy of a "high-end" ball?  I doubt they think the ball is crap, but maybe for the cost to produce something that they see more as a mid-range performer, maybe it just isn't feasible.  I'm sure we'll see great stuff from the NEW Track in the future!

Why must you insinuate that Rick would not tell exactly what he heard from Ebonite?  Have you ever talked with him on the phone? I have on several occasions and I'm a pretty good judge of character.  Rick has great integrity and honesty.  Have you read how many posts he puts on the Track forum, helping us out?  What you are saying makes no sense.

actually direct you hit it on the head,  to me rick's post insinuated that this ball was a non performer due to the fact that if did not meet ebonite's requirement's.  

but what really are their requiirement's  and are they cost related.  especially since it is believed that track/columbia buy thr HIGHEST GRADE coverstock from basf.  and ebonite does not.  but buys a lesser grade and does in house tweaking.

No, not the end of subject.  You read what you wanted to read into Rick's original post.  Also, you failed to answer ANY of the questions that I posed?  I'll ask again:  Have you ever talked to Rick?  If not, you have absolutely NO basis as to the conclusions you drew regarding the Phoenix.  None of the words were his.  He was simply passing on information.  Oh, by the way, the police station is only 4 blocks from Ebonite's plant.  Tiger said so on the Golf Channel.  Time to go change my underwear, it is Monday.

was that due to performance?????

or was that cost related????

to simply say " did not meet their requirements"  may led some to think it was a performance thing.

i was trying to clear it up.  

having sold the columbia and track lines very well.  i do not feel it could possibly be a performance thing.

Thank you Radio, that's exactly it.  Every company again has their own standards in regards to product testing and performance.  Who knows, if the shoe were on the other foot, maybe Columbia would've said that Ebonite didn't meet "their" criteria. Couldn't say for sure.......
