VIDEO: Track Machine

Here is a video of me throwing the new track machine.  This ball hooks less than I have expected but it clears the head very well and has a strong move to the pocket.  I will give you all an update once I get some more games on it. The video is just over 4 minutes long so dial-up beware.

Great job buddy, very nice touch with the animation to show people how the block rotates and migrates to its PSA.  Very well done...

That's all I'm saying HIGHRISE, I'm not trying to insult anyone or make people upset, I'm just being honest.  In that video the kid had from 15 to the gutter, it's rediculous.  The credibility of bowling has drastically gone down hill, and this video is a perfect example of why.  Almost anyone can buy a new high performance ball, hit up on the ball, send it to the gutter and avg. 200.  It's sad.

You're right, that's long and sharp.  You've got a lot of hand there, which certainly doesn't hurt.  Need better views of your release.   Good looking ball going down the lane, with lots of drive to the hole.  Nice vid.

No doubt the easy house patterns allow bad bowlers to avg. high.  I bowl on tough patterns and no one in my league avg. 200 and hasn't since I joined it 3 seasons ago.  

Rolls even states that he thought the ball would be a lot stronger than it is.  So he is giving his honest opinion.  

Yes bumper bowling and dry back ends will make a lot of balls look great.  

I feel that on his vid he was playing different lines to show what the ball looked like from different lines.  Yes on a tough pattern one wouldn't be able to strike from many different lines like that.  

I think you guys just need to give the guy a break.  His vids are enjoyable to watch even on an easy pattern.  Plus for the guy that questioned his follow thru; who are you to critisize or question this guys follow thru?  I wonder how many people critisized Walter Rays follow thru?  

A bowler does not need to have texted book form to be a great bowler period!

nice vid, and for the follow through guy, I would assume it dosent feel good to take a high speed becept to the face, there for he avoids it by swinging it right a little. at least thats what it looked like to me.

How does this ball compare to the Arsenal Artillary, Reactive, and the Delta?.

The delta has pretty similar specs. Just curious

That's my defination of a wall. No matter what line you played, there was enough backend to make the ball carry. If you noticed also, even though his starting postion was different, the ball ended up in the same area with the same results.


Inverted 1 your reply above is not in question as far as the definition of the wall.  What I don't understand is your last statement.  "even though his starting position was different, the ball ended up in the same area with the same results".  No doubt there is a lot of area where he is playing.  Also he probably wouldn't be playing all of those different lines on a tough flat pattern.  You must remeber he was just posting a vid for bowlers to see the ball reaction from different lines.  

We all know he wasn't playing on a reverse blockl or flat sport shot. lol  Come on guys give him a break.

Looks like a great ball HOWEVER you had at least 5 - 10 boards of wall bring that ball back. You were all over the lanes and it didn't matter, the ball came humming back to the pocket. Were you at Rev-O's house?

I could take my power groove on that condition and make it look like the greatest ball on earth.

I'm not sure how entirely true these statements are. At my house, especially on Friday nights, there is plenty of backend to get the ball to the pocket. But carry? Good luck. You can play 30 boards and you might strike 1 out of 3 pocket hits.

As far as different starting positions, what I meant was that even if he started inside or outside on his approach, as long as he ended up downlane in the same area with his ball, it found its way to the pocket.

IMHO, this isn't a good way to measure or show how a ball reacts. Like I said, on these conditons, even a power groove would look great!

I completely understand what you were saying about the defined break point are down the lane.

No this is not the best lanes to show how well a ball works.  That is why I said most bowling alleys are not going to put out a tough lane pattern for you to make a vid.  So he made a vid just to show the ball.  What it does show is how it works on a house shot.  To his defense though he stated that the ball was not as strong as he thought even though others said the back end was huge.

I like when these guys make there vids of the balls.  Most on here understand that there not on tough lane patterns.

Ok maybe any ball thrown by a player like him or pro tommy jones or any high rev high speed player. I know for a fact that alot of the older senior guys you see in leagues cant go and do what he did they all still play down and in with there rubbers or even the ones who buy new stuff still play that shot down and in at the deepest over 12. I know of a guy in my monday league who is I will say about 62 at the least who went out and had a One drilled for big hook and you know where he plays it. Over 5 for the first to games and over 10 the last. Rolls6 played the ball the way it is made to be. You know what if he hits the same break point that just shows his ablilty to hit his mark witch looks to be his break point no matter what part of the lane he plays from. Now if you watch him play more up the boards his speed is at least 3-4 mph faster then when he swung it. That shows that he has to drop his speed to get the ball to move like it did when he was real deep. I bet if he used the speed from the straighter shot on the swing shot that the ball would just skid past his BP and then flip hard into the 3 pin and leave a wash out. Just because you hit the poket dont mean you will get all ten in the pit. Last time I checked if you could nobody would shoot under 900.

I'd like to see someone with less hand throw the ball to see how it reacts.  Also, to me it looks like the ball almost has too much backend, in the majority of the shots the ball missed the 9 pin completely.  But as I said that could be different story for someone with less hand.

Nice video!  I really liked the revving-up core animation.  I also really liked one of the shots you made; it was 25 at the arrows to around 6 at the break (at 2min 10sec).  If possible, it would be cool if you could do a comparison video (much like what you did with your Angular, Reactive, and Aggressive).  Nevertheless, cool vid!

Clean through the fronts, pretty strong in the midlane, not as strong and angular as I expected on the backend.  Therefore, I do have to agree about the ball not hooking as much as I expected.  It's still not as strong as my Delta on fresh, but it covers a great amount of boards after game 1 (first game, 198, second game, 248, then I had to go home )!  Carry/finish for me is average; it's not quite up there with my Delta.
