More ugly rumors
« on: June 17, 2007, 07:40:41 AM »
There's an ugly rumor going around Los Angeles area pro shops. They are saying the reason Wes and Chris are with Columbia is because Columbia will be producing high end product and Track only mid level product. This can't be true. Otherwise why would you even need two brand managers. I keep telling these guys they are idiots but what do you expect they are pro shop guys.

Just joking. Some of my best friends are  pro shop guys.

That rumor is false!!
I have a source from within the company that has given me a bit of a preview of what is to come and it is far from a mid level only lineup.

DW,

Definately false bud. After our visit to Hopkinsville last week Rick and I can both assure you that Track will not release only midlevel equipment. We will have 3 initial releases: mid, mid/high, and highend equipment.

The reason for 2 brand managers is because each company if going to have their own equipment and their own technology. IMHO this only makes sense.

I knew this was a bunch of bull but sometime you can't convince people of things that don't make any sense.

Carl, I knew the reason for two brand managers was to have two complete arsenals. I tried to explain to the guys that if the two companies were going to be used as one arsenal that you would only need one brand manager and group of designers.

Anyway, I can't tell you how I can't wait for the new releases. Hopefully they will hold up to the standard we all are use to.

Hey Carl, I drill up the Kenetic Saturday and me anf Figs through some on the Scorpion.  I was very impressed with the smooth roll i got on the tight pattern.  It was rolling similar to my TNV.  All I can say is its coming and its gonna be a good one for the Nation.

Are the Track balls out for sale?  I haven't seen or heard about any of them being released recently.

Roger,

My Kenetic was drilled identical to my TNV and I have to move 4 boards deeper. It is a very unique piece. I am extremely excited about it.

Mine is weaker than my TNV that is what my surprise was on how it rolled so similar to each other.

Hey DW and Legion members,

As Carl has stated, this is completely false.  We will have 3 releases in the near future.  Our Mid line, Mid Upper and High Performance.  Our focus is to bring Track back to the forefront with what we do best and that "IS" Technology and Performance.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Kinetic will be our first release and falls into our Mid Upper category.  Mine also is very smooth with a strong arc on the backend.  Carl and I both felt the hitting power was extremely good.

Definition of hitting power for me is not when I throw the ball well (any ball should hit and carry when we execute IMHO )but when I actually throw it bad and it still carries.  I did this multiple times in testing due to my injured ankle, I couldn't plant or finish strong for most shots but the Kinetic carried extremely well (threw about 7-8 in a row on a 39-40ft flat pattern, no wall or THS).

I'll try and do more testing at home but my ankle is still hurt.  I have our State tourney this weekend and then the Tag Team is off again to Las Vegas for our Ebonite Showcase (at Texas Station 3pm on 6/26) and then Bowl Expo to help support our company.

I don't have our Mid line release yet people (they have to make me a 14lb) but trust me when I tell you that our Kinetic and High Performance ball are truly worth waiting for.  FIG is a great guy people with great vision, he's trying everything in his power to make Track the best.  We are back....

Thanks Carl & Rick,

I knew this was false  but I wanted to have credible back up info from people in the know. What upsets me most is the fact that these are pro shop operators and they could be steering customers away from Track.

This rumor was started by a few regional players on the west coast that were let go, kind of a pay back thing.

Rick has already been to Kentucky and threw the new balls, i hope to meet up with Rick and his crew when they hit town.

So would you say that the Kinetic is going to be simular to the NVS? Cause I heard from an Ebonite rep that the NVS is couple of boards stronger than the TNV.
