Not sure if there's already a topic about this, but just curious as to how the Mutant and Animal Untamed compare to each other. I have both coming my way and want to drill one to be heavy rolling and pretty even, and the other to be REALLY flippy, not sure which to go with which though. Thanks for the help ahead of time to all who help!

I'd assume Mutant = particle = early rolling/control, Animal Untamed = reactive = flip.

Strider is right. The Mutant should be drilled to rev early because of its particle coverstock while the AU should be drilled to be more flip because of its reactive coverstock. While the cores of the two balls are similar, the coverstock plays a large role in ball reaction.

loose5682,
The Mutant will naturally be your heavy rolling ball, and the untamed will be more "flippy" for you.
With the info given in your profile you're a "ridiculously high" tracker like me. The pin on my Mutant below my ring finger and the MB is in the #3 pos. I get a heavy, predictable roll, just like what you are looking for.
Del also drilled a Animal Untamed for me to be the next ball out of the bag after the Mutant. He layed it out with the pin above the ring finger, with the MB in the #2 position. I had to polish it to get a better reaction from the ball.
I would suggest working around the same specs...I use my Mutant and Untamed the most out of all my other equipment
let me know if this helps

Hey Andrew,
I like Mr Tracks idea to get a better separation between the two balls. I also replied to your pm bud. Hope it helps...
